Overview
Welcome to your Trezor setup guide. Follow the steps below to power on and initialize your device safely. This document intentionally contains no images — clean, accessible text-only guidance with orange headings and an orange-accented theme.
Before you start
- Ensure you have a computer with an up-to-date browser.
- Keep a pen and paper ready for your recovery phrase (write it down — never store it digitally).
- Make sure you're on the official site:
trezor.io/start
(verify URL and SSL).
Step-by-step: Starting Up Your Device
1. Unbox and inspect
Remove the Trezor device from its packaging. Check the seal and packaging integrity — do not proceed if it looks tampered with.
2. Connect to your computer
Use the provided USB cable to connect the device. A small welcome message will appear on the device screen. If nothing appears, try a different USB port or cable.
3. Open trezor.io/start
Visit the official start page in your browser and follow the on-screen instructions to install firmware (if needed) and create a new wallet.
4. Write down your recovery phrase
When prompted, write down the recovery phrase on paper. Store it safely offline. The recovery phrase is the only way to recover funds if the device is lost or damaged.
5. Complete setup and verify
Finish the guided setup, create a PIN, and verify that your device displays the expected wallet address before sending or receiving funds.
Security Tips
- Never share your recovery phrase with anyone.
- Do not enter your recovery phrase into a website or email.
- Keep firmware updated and download updates only from official sources.
Styling notes (Gloryia)
The decorative heading style shown here ("gloryia") uses a high-contrast serif font, uppercase letter-spacing, and subtle glow to give headings a proud, elegant look while keeping them colored orange as you requested.
